For the upcoming season (Winter 2005/06) team NSXC is currently hosting the North Bay Nordic Ski Racing Team. This team is open to all North Bay Nordic Ski Club (NBNSC) members interested in improving their performance and in competing in races - at any level. In the past, at the NBNSC, there has been limited organization and support, outside of the Junior Racing Team, for skiers interested in higher performance skiing. Through a broader team environment, the NBNSC can promote the development of skier/athletes of any age or skill.

The benefits of joining team NSXC - North Bay Nordic Ski Racing Team include:

• Access to member's area that will be maintained on this website. This will include the ability to post discussion topics in the site (b)log book and access to archived information about all facets of ski racing (technique, training, waxing, equipment, nutrition etc.) This database will be compiled from information from around the web, obtained in hard copy over the years and based on the knowledge and experience of veteran ski racers.

• Regular (optional) organized group training sessions both in the off-season and during the ski season. At these sessions there would be discussions about training, racing, equipment, technique, waxing etc.

• Regular (optional) time trials to test fitness and hone racing skills

• Logistical support to and at racing events. Coordinated planning, transport and accommodation whenever possible with other members. In addition, help with race prep and waxing whenever possible.

• Currently there would be no costs to be a part of the team. Only a commitment of effort and dedication towards improvement and personal achievement. (Membership to the NBNSC required)
